Gina Marie Long lives in Highland, Illinois with her husband. Unknown Touch –Werewolf Series Book 1 is her first novel. She is a licensed cosmetologist and had owned a salon in Marine until June of 2010. She took the plunge and sold the shop to pursue a career in writing. Ideas for the book were bounced around with her loyal customers who gave encouraging feedback.
The story was inspired from Long's interest in the paranormal, science fiction and fantasy world. She enjoys reading, watching evening TV shows and the latest movies and listening to music. Writing her own novel was the next step in pursuing her love for the entertainment field.
"The thought of other beings in the world is so intriguing. Having such close contact with them, developing relationships, dealing with the good vs. the evil, it sweeps you away into another reality – an escape from real life. The reader momentarily forgets that the characters are fictional. They believe and want them to be real."
From April through July 2009, Long wrote Unknown Touch. Many late nights and spare time over weekends, produced the end result. Family members helped proofread the manuscript, while Long began the submission process.
On September 15, 2009, her book was accepted for publication. On September 19, the actual signing of the contract took place. Release date was October 22, 2009.
